Race 1 No. 4 CABLE ROCK ($5.50)

We marked CABLE ROCK as a horse of interest following the recent review of a Belmont Park meeting. We did expect Cable Rock to stay in maiden grade, however Sean and Jake Casey have found a suitable race up in grade for him on Wednesday. Cable Rock found little luck in running when posted wide without cover the entire over 1300m second-up. He showed tenacity to keep coming under Madi Derrick and even hit the front deep inside the 100m. The winner Westcoast Express had the could sit on Cable Bay to edge past him late in a good battle to the line.

Race 5 No. 10 ENDLESS JOY ($4.80)

Trainer Brian Kersley has gone close to knocking the maiden off with ENDLESS JOY over her past couple of starts. The filly got right back to last early in the big field after drawing the car park under Madi Derrick in Belmont. Derrick attempted to save ground nearer the rail before having to switch across to the outer part of the track. Endless Joy Continued on her long run to finish behind the placegetters before again getting back under Brad Parnham last time. She finished very strongly between horses over the 1500m at Pinjarra and will appreciate the extra 100m from a good draw on Wednesday.

Race 2 No. 3 ALLEGRO SONATA ($10)

Ascot trainer Stefan Vahala found a win early in the prep with ALLEGRO SONATA when she scored second-up at Pinjarra. It was a determined win from the mare under Steven Parnham to grind down race leader Bring The Bling in the shadows of the line. Parnham settled his mount outside Bring The Bling’s hindquarters as those two had the race run to suit. The leader got away on straightening before Parnham went to work on Allegro Sonata. She does carry some condition as a big mare and will only have stripped fitter for the run. Claim for Maggie Collett keeps her in at the weights and Allegro Sonata has drawn to be prominent again.
