Race 2 No. 14 WOKOU- ($5)
This is a weak Maiden and WOKOU can take advantage. The Robbie Griffiths and Matt de Kock-trained galloper has had the two career starts and made up some late ground at Terang over the 1200m on debut when 5th before heading to Cranbourne and finishing 6th over the 1400m. She comes back to a country level and should find this easier. The daughter of Saxon Warrior comes in with the best last start benchmark figures of any runner in this race and has attracted plenty of support in the early betting.

Race 4 No.11 BAD GIRL BUBBLES- ($7)
BAD GIRL BUBBLES can go close in Race 4 at Bairnsdale. The John McArdle-trained galloper is yet to win in 10 starts but has placed in three of her past five and has been encouraging over the 1000m in her two runs this time in. She resumed at Colac on March 3 and loomed as the winner before being run down late when 4th. At her most recent assignment, the daughter of Overshare stuck on for 3rd at Cranbourne. She is likely to head forward from the draw and might be able to dictate, while she should be at her peak third up.

Race 8 No. 6 MISSPOKE- ($5.50)
This is a suitable assignment for MISSPOKE. The four-year-old was a winner in this grade three starts ago before being tried in a BenchMark 70 at Pakenham and battling. She dropped back to BenchMark 64 last time at Cranbourne over the 1400m and settled just worse than midfield before running on for 5th behind Chill The Krug. This looks easier.
