Race 4 No. 7 ENDLESS FAITH ($7.10)

We are keen on ENDLESS FAITH as our best bet for Balaklava Racecourse on Sunday. This is despite knowing that she has drawn such a low-percentage gate in what shapes as a strong maiden field. We are keen to follow this filly who won her trial on heavy track at Morphettville Parks before running a huge race on debut. Jordan Frew kicked her off in a maiden at home where Jusin Potter had her Endless Faith travelling comfortably in a midfield position. He commenced his run on the filly who came on into the straight before copping severe interference from the winner Surprise Coming. Endless Faith finished third under little encouragement and we’ve seen both Surprise Coming and the Runner-up Zanthron perform well in town again since.

Race 8 No. 2 ABIT RATTLEY ($3.80)

July has been a hot month for trainer of the moment Jordan Frew who ends the racing season with ABIT RATTLEY. The horse raced fiercely on the speed to give his stablemate Zero Inn every chance of running him down. The pair were taking each other on from a long way out and turned for home clear of the others. Abit Rattley continued to respond under the urgings of Jeff Maund and kicked strongly to deny the outside horse. Pulled hard on the speed again in town with his next race start. Abit Rattley had lobbed outside of horses this time and he lost a couple of lengths on straightening. Abit Rattley continued to grind the race out to hold his ground to the line.

Race 1 No. 8 IDRACOWRA ($7)

The Stuart Padman trained IDRACOWRA was away cleanly off the inside draw to lead throughout and win her first public jumpout. Sophie Logan did have to hustle her along a bit during her second jump out when she did enough behind subsequent city winner Free Beer. Idracowra has since been given a trial at home where she again jumped cleanly out of the gate. The filly then came back underneath Logan who was careful not to do too much from their wide draw. Idracowra ran well through the line and looks well educated for her debut race day at Balaklava Racecourse on Sunday.
