Race 4 No. 9 CAESAR CAKE- ($2.60)
CAESAR CAKE should be hard to beat in Race 4 of the day at Ballarat. The filly from the Mick Price & Michael Kent Jnr stable stepped out on debut at Geelong over the 1240m on March 24 and settled back in the field of nine before running 5th, beaten just over a length. She produced the best late splits from the 800m in that race and just about wins that with another 100m. The daughter of Scissor Kick should be an improver at her second start, while the step up to the 1500m looks like it will suit.

Race 5 No.6 KARALEE ROCKS- ($2.80)
This looks to be a suitable assignment for STREET DELIGHT. The Simon Wilde-trained galloper resumed at Sandown on March 29 over the 1300m and stuck on well for 5th behind Caste, beaten four lengths. She went 1.4 lengths faster than standard benchmark, which is the best last start figure of any runner. The daughter of Street Boss should be an improver at her second run back and was solid in some stronger races than this at her last preparation.
