SET THE SAILS can improve off a first up effort that saw him finish 3rd at Pakenham behind Mianado on January 27. That came off a long break and he was supported in the betting before settling midfield on a slow tempo and doing his best work late. He improved at his second run last year to score at Pakenham in what turned out to be a strong form race before placing 3rd at Listed level in Adelaide. The son of More Than Ready draws perfectly in barrier 2 and will be partnered by Patrick Moloney.

Race 6 No. 4 DEEKAY – ($3.80)
DEEKAY can kick off his campaign with a win. The three-year-old was a three-length winner when first up last time before claiming a BenchMark 64 and closed off with a 4th in the VOBIS GOLD Stockade (1400m) at Ballarat on November 19. He was posted wide that day and worked hard before fading late. The son of Hellbent should be better suited over the 1200m and early market support suggests he is ready after a strong trial win recently.
