BEST BET 🏆
Race 5 No. 7 SHE’S IMMINENT – ($2.10)
Race favourite SHE’S IMMINENT has run some handy overall race times thanks to good early speed in her races. Punters tend to gravitate towards fast times overall, and in this case, She’s Imminent has earnt the support. Settled off the speed as she tends to do at Ascot two starts ago when finishing off behind Noteworthy over 1400m. Danny Morton subsequently brought her to Belmont ten days later. She’s Imminent finished stylishly again as she came back in trip to 1200 metres. Chris Parnham sticks and the challenge now is for She’s Imminent to finish off with the blinkers going on.
NEXT BEST 🥈
Race 7 No. 1 AMERICAN TROOP – ($7.50)
We felt the Gangemi brothers had found a good race for AMERICAN TROOP over 1500m last time. Showed improvement in his second-up run when Noske had American Troop into a good rhythm early over the 1400m at Ascot. The big horse kept coming as he turned the tables on Beach West who had been too sharp over 1200m the start prior. The step-up to 1500m from the perfect draw seemed ideal, except they just walked with Noske appearing nonplussed towards the back of the field. While we were left flat by the lack of positivity in a race which also lacked pace on paper; American Troop will at least strip fitter for the barrier trial afforded to him. Would rather see him staying to trip; however, we’re not keen to let this horse out of our sights despite knowing we would not be involved in the race after the first 400m last start.
BEST VALUE 💰
Race 3 No. 10 RUBICK LASS – ($10)
We work hard to avoid suggesting horses out of low-percentage barriers relative to the track; however, we’re at a loggerhead with them at Belmont on Wednesday. Our Value Bet RUBICK LASS probably won’t mind being drawn out a touch, particularly with the hot favourite Bonny Rock finding pressure towards the lead. Rubick Lass brings arguably the best form lines on paper into this race with her barrier draw being reflected onto the tote board. She can run some handy times as witnessed behind Krysanova and Wiley Girl recently. Really liked the way she settled under Joseph Azzopardi before hitting the line when getting back out to the 1200m last time.
