BEST BET 🏆

Race 4 No. 5 TOO DARDY – ($2.35)

Shaun O’Donnell rode TOO DARDY during an impressive trial win recently for Bullsbrook trainer Justine Erkelens. Too Dardy had also trialled well prior to his debut run last prep before running second over 1200 metres here. Form out of that maiden has been strong since with the winner Le Dette remaining consistent while the third placed Sizzle Me Patrick won at his next start. Too Dardy followed up with a win in sharp time with the runner-up again racing well and the third placed horse supportive going on to win her next two starts. Too Dardy in the heavy conditions. Too Dardy shows a similar scorecard since resuming this prep with a luckless second behind Berbere before turning the tables second-up.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 2 No. 3 PREMIUM CHOICE – ($4.20)

Back in class while on the seven-day back-up may provide the winning formula for PREMIUM CHOICE. He was away well off the inside when resuming over this track and trip last week. Joseph Azzopardi had Premium Choice following the speed early before squeezing for a tight run towards the inside rail. Premium Choice had the bigger Puli crowding him for room all the way up the straight, The run was there though, and so were the swoopers in Gemma’s Son and Ghost Who Walks. Those two claimed both Puli and Premium Choice late with little separating them. Drawn towards the middle suits for Premium Choice and Azzopardi should find more space with him on Saturday.

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 3 No. 2 KING CARTEL – ($9.50)

Holly Watson is riding in great touch at the moment, as seen with her ride of the day performance aboard Songaa here last week. We’ll leave the wide barrier draw for KING CARTEL in her capable hands as the pair attempt back-to-back wins together. King Cartel jumped sharply over this track and trip for Watson when racing second-up. He raced fiercely as Holly held him back into the box-seat to follow early leader More Special. The pair loomed ominous into the straight before gaining the upper-hand well inside the furlong. King Cartel was strong through the line as More Special fended off the late charge of Rope Them In. That horse won his next start with More Special filling a minor in what serves as a good form race to follow.
