Race 2 No. 1 GHOST WHO WALKS ($3.30)

Neville and Chris Parnham team-up with GHOST WHO WALKS in the second at Belmont Racecourse on Saturday. The sprinter has enjoyed a consistent campaign under apprentice Keshaw Dhurun, including taking out the Listed Beaufine two starts back. Keshaw settled Ghost Who Walks towards the back of midfield before over-powering his rivals into the straight. The pair then stepped-up to the six-furlongs where they found the likes of Phanta a shade too good. Comes back to benchmark grade while over his preferred 1000 metre trip and Ghost Who Walks also excels on rain-affected going.

Race 8 No. 7 MISS DRAKOVA ($5.60)

Punters warmed towards MISS DRAKOVA second-up in an open betting race over 1000 metres at Belmont Racecourse. Brad Parnham had settled her back off their wide gate before gradually building into the race off the even tempo. They were only beaten by sheer ride of the day from Holly Watson who rode the percentages to perfection aboard Songaa. That horse had taken the gap back to the inside of Miss Drakova who pinged the ears back to have a real crack down to the line. She then ran into a rampant Duchess Of Gossip when running second over this track and trip at her next start. That looks the right formline for a race like this, and Miss Drakova will be very fit following her recent effort over 1400 metres.

Race 3 No. 9 IMPRUDENT ($10)

Shaun O’Donnell comes into the saddle of IMPRUDENT after trainer Brent Larsson scratched the mare from a winnable race on Wednesday. Apprentice rider Victoria Corver gave Imprudent a nice ride from the back of midfield and as the pair tracked into the race. Colossal found too much for them nearing the line with Imprudent forging ahead of the others over this track and trip. William Pike took the mount in town next where Imprudent was given a quiet ride out the back. Olga Louise had set a quick tempo in front to go all the way and score. Imprudent was finishing hard with the runner-up Premium Choice to miss out on the placings. Imprudent has drawn for a good run behind the speed against a good mob of up-and-comers. We’ll throw to the older gelding to show these young Un’s just how it’s done in expected tough conditions.
