Todd Payne saddles-up COME ON EILEEN here who found her mojo recently and looks set to go on with it today. Last start, the Headwater mare was shooting for the hat-trick when she had to settle for second prize in a BM66 on her home track at Inverell. On a Heavy 10 that day, she finished strongly down the centre of the track, but found one who finished just a little better on the day. Cobi Vitler was aboard for that run and after steering the mare to victory twice previously, has the reins again for this assignment. Already a winner at the track and distance, she looks great value here and will them something to beat.

Race 6:  No.8  TIMELY BEL  ($12.40 with BoomBet)

The Ridge Wilson-trained TIMELY BEL has been in good touch this time in and back on top of the ground today, looks set to continue that trend in this contest. Last start, the Bel Esprit mare made it a hat-trick of podium finishes when she claimed third prize in Open company over 1050m on her home track at Inverell. On a Heavy 10 that day, she came from back in the field to grab the minor prize on the line in unfavourable conditions. Five of her seven victories have come on dry tracks so conditions look ideal for her today. She has a tricky gate (10) to deal with but is expected to settle back anyway. Braith Nock was aboard that day and sticks with her here. The seven-year-old has raced just once here previously which ended with a win in BM58 company. In top-shelf form, she can go on with it here at great odds.

Race 5:  No.5  NARNIA  ($13 with bet365)

At (currently) $5.50 the field here, there’s plenty of value to be had as we run with the Paul Shailer-trained NARNIA who shows enough on his resume to suggest he is not without a chance here at double-figure odds today. Last start, the Not A Single Doubt gelding landed his third podium finish in four starts this time in when he claimed third prize in a Class 1 Hcp, here over 1415m. Settling mid-field, he took some time to wind-up and arrived just a stride or two late, beaten a neck on the line. He is a real trier who has eight top-three finishes from his 17 career-starts but just one victory to his name and he deserves a change of luck today. Andrew Gibbons is the new pilot today and from an ideal draw in gate two here, maybe lady luck can shine today.
