Race 3: No.8 COLLEAGUES ($2.60 with Bet Right)
The David Vandyke-trained COLLEAGUES has improved with each start this preparation and looks poised here for back-to-back wins. Last start, the Reliable Man gelding got it together and clobbered his rivals in a Class 1 Hcp over 1800m at the Sunshine Coast. He box-seated to the turn, then took over soon after and went on to score a big win, putting 3.5 lengths on the 11-strong field. Four starts in now, he should be at his peak and down 4kgs here, he looks a genuine winning chance in this contest.

Race 5: No.3 POCKET FULL ($2.75 with Blue Bet)
Stuart Kendrick saddles-up POCKET FULL here who is high flying this preparation and shooting for the hat-trick in this contest. Last start, the Rich Enuff gelding was even more impressive than his first-up win when he put two lengths on them in a BM68, here over 1200m. He took over at the 800m mark, and was never headed, running the trip in a handy 1:09.6 for the 1200m. James Orman sticks with him here after steering him to two of his three career victories to date. Winning form is good form and he looks well placed here to go on with it.

Race 7: No.2 DRAGONSTONE ($2.90 with Bet Right)
The Joe Pride-trained DRAGONSTONE is third-up here and looks ready to win. Last start, the Mikki Isle gelding showed plenty of improvement when second-up, he beat all but one home in the Listed Bob Charley Stakes (1100m) at Randwick. The four-year-old has since won a barrier trial at Canterbury. His third-up record glows on his resume with four previous third-up attempts resulting a win and three minor placings. Nicely drawn in gate six here, his debut at the track could be a winning one.
