BEST BET 🏆

Race 2 No. 1 PICARGO – ($2.85)

Gawler Racecourse track specialist PICARGO can find a good trail into the race under Ryan Balfour apprentice Alana Livesey. The pair stormed home to win first-up at Murray Bridge before giving too much latitude to Metro Legend who led to score at Morphettville Parks. Livesey and Picargo bounced back to winning form when holding out Ocean Reward at Morphettville last start. Picargo did turn the table on Metro Legend last start and can make it three wins on as many tracks from four starts this prep.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 3 No. 3 RIALTOR – ($4)

Accomplished apprentice Sophie Logan will be searching for her fourth win aboard RIALTOR as the pair take to Gawler Racecourse on Saturday. Logan rated Rialtor a treat out in front as the pair kept going to score over Platform on the Parks two runs back. Sheriden Tomlinson then claimed his full three kilos as Rialtor stayed to BM68 class at Morphettville last start. Rialtor kept fending off the challengers to be claimed right on the line. Up in class and down in weight may prove to be a good combination for Rialtor as the rain continues to fall.

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 4 No. 1 CHIPSON – ($6.10)

Bordertown trainer Jeff Searle is also looking for three wins on three tracks as he sends CHIPSON to Gawler on Saturday. Chipson was patiently handled by Jacob Opperman as they searched for runs at Murray Bridge. The pair surged through the gaps when they came to come away and break the maiden over 1400 metres. Backed it up big time when settling last early over 1500 metres at Morphettville. Opperman brought Chipson with his run as the widest galloper into the straight. He powered through the Heavy 9 conditions to claim Delightful Shecky on the line. Those two left a space back to their rivals and the barrier draw has favoured Chipson to repeat the dose on Saturday.
