Race 4:  No.8  FUN ENUFF

Brett Bellamy saddles-up FUN ENUFF here who boasts track specialist status and on current form will take a ton of beating today. Last start, the Rich Enuff gelding made it back-to-back victories when he wore down the leader to claim a narrow win in a BM58, here over 1410m. That made it win number three from four starts at the track and distance. This is a big step-up in grade today but he drops a whopping 7.5kgs for the contest after Cobi Vitler’s claim who is the new pilot for this assignment. All four career wins have come on the Grafton track and in top-shelf form of late, he can get the job done today.

Race 6:  No.8  BARCELONA EXPRESS

The Coffs Harbour-based BARCELONA EXPRESS is third-up today and has shown enough since returning to suggest he can play a major part in the outcome of this contest. Last start, the Outreach gelding made it two-straight podium finishes when he took home third prize in a BM58 over 1262m at Taree. He carried 59.5kgs that day on a Heavy 10 and did well to be beaten just one length in the event. He meets similar company here and fitter for those two runs back, he looks a sneaky chance at big odds today.

Race 2:  No.7  SEPTEMBER GIRL

The locally-trained SEPTEMBER GIRL has improved with each start this time in and fourth-up today looks in the mix at odds in this contest. Last start, the Red Element mare found the podium when third-up, she beat all but one home in a BM58, here over 1006m. She enjoyed the run of the race (one out, one back) and hit the front inside the final 200m but was collared by a swooper near the line. She has returned in much better form than last campaign and today, draws well in gate four where she maps to settle in the first half-dozen. A 3kg claim here sees her carry 2.5kgs less than last start and facing similar company today, she looks well worth an each-way ticket.
