Race 1 No. 1 GAGO ($3.20)

The race did not work out for either Princess Rayaa or GAGO when the pair last met a bit over three-weeks ago. Thought Princess Rayaa still had her chance to peg back the winner, she just took an age to wind up off the slow early tempo. Gago found himself awkwardly placed on her heels and wanted to go before the sprint went on. He was racing first-up over the 1350m and was not suited by the smaller Wyong circuit. These two look the main plays for the opener at Hawkesbury Racecourse on Tuesday, and Gago can overturn the margin Princess Rayaa held over him last time out.

Race 7 No. 1 GLACIER QUEEN ($3.80)

Warwick Farm trainer David Pfieffer is bringing GLACIER QUEEN to Hawkesbury Racecourse on Tuesday with the mare racing first-up into her new campaign. Pfieffer has given her the two trials leading into Tuesday – the latest of which a winning trial at Rosehill. Glacier Queen was not the quickest into stride before responding to the squeeze from Dylan Gibbons and smoothly put herself onto the speed. Glacier Queen was particularly good late as she came away from Stromboli who has since come out and won first-up on the Kensington Course. The third-place getter in the trial was a smart Western Australian mare by the name of How’s The Serenity. How’s The Serenity was a dual Listed winner last prep and has now made her way into the Sydney stables of the Hawkes team.

Race 5 No. 5 CELESTIAL FURY ($5)

Sitting just on that genuine each-way quote of $5 is CELESTIAL FURY who is racing third-up on Tuesday. He may just need one more run owing to the wide gate as he extends out to 1800 metres. Mitchell Bell gave him every possible last start off the inside draw where Celestial Fury took the one/one behind the leader. Satness did it the hard way in front in kicking off his own fast tempo to come away from the others. Celestial Fury was the one doing best of the rest, perhaps owing to his kind early run in transit. They did run a sharp time and that may have been enough to bring Celestial Fury on for this race. There’s not necessarily a lot of speed drawn underneath him, and Mitchell Bell might be able to cross early and follow the speed from one off the fence.
