Race 2: No.3 DEEP VOYAGE ($2.35 with Ladbrokes)
Trained by Matt Smith at Warwick Farm, DEEP VOYAGE has been thereabouts in his four race starts and here he looks a genuine chance of breaking through today. Last start, the Deep Field gelding stepped-up to the mile trip and did well to finish third (beaten half a length) in the 1600m Maiden Plate at Scone. Tyler Schiller has the reins today where the three-year-old draws gate two and maps to settle in the first half-dozen. Rock-hard fit after those four runs to date, he should relish the 1800m today and prove hard to beat.

Race 5: No.2 CHAIN OF GOLD ($4.40 with Palmerbet)
Another from the Matt Smith stable is CHAIN OF GOLD who is third-up today and looks the one to beat here. Last start, the Sooboog gelding was beaten a whisker at Gosford in a Class 1 Hcp over 1200m. He drew wide that day and was trapped out deep for most of the trip but still ran home strongly to beat all but one to the line. Tyler Schiller scores the ride here and maps to settle just behind the pace from gate six. Fitter for two runs back, he has finished runner-up in both visits to the track and gets his chance here to go one better today.

Race 8: No.5 LEANDRA ($3.80 with bet365)
Local galloper LEANDRA is unbeaten at the track and four starts into this campaign she looks the one to beat here today. Last start, the Choisir filly bounced back from an unplaced effort in the city when she dropped back in grade and took out a Class 1 Hcp, here over 1300m. Rachel King rode the filly to her Maiden win, here three starts back, and has the reins again today. She gets the gun-run from gate one and both career wins have come on wet tracks so conditions are ideal for her here. The scene looks set for another big effort on her home track today.
