Race 4:  No.6  FIDDLERS GREEN

The Annabel Neasham-trained FIDDLERS GREEN is three starts into this preparation and looks ready to win today. Last start, the well-bred Merchant Navy gelding came off consecutive runner-up finishes when he had no luck in the run home and finished a close-up fourth in a Class 1 over 1500m at Newcastle. Drawn better today in gate five, he maps to settle just behind the speed and has Zac Lloyd sticking with him for this assignment. Already a track and distance winner and at his peak today, he will take beating in this contest.

Race 6:  No.2  FINAL RESET

The Matt Smith-trained FINAL RESET also makes his track debut today and looks set to continue the good work so far this time in. The Reset gelding resumed off a 20-week break on the Canberra track where he beat home an 11-strong field in a Class 1 set weights event over the mile. He followed that up last start by finishing a close-up third in BM64 company over 1850m at Newcastle. He settles mid-field as a rule and looks set to be there again from gate seven in this contest. Tyler Schiller is the new pilot and already a winner over the 2000m trip, he will strip even fitter today and looks a prime candidate for the major prize at odds.

Race 5:  No.2  JUSTELA

Kembla Grange visitor, JUSTELA sees the Hawkesbury track for the first time today and second-up here, looks in the mix at odds in this contest. Last start, the Odyssey Moon mare resumed off a 12-week break and was impressive when she finished hard to grab victory in a BM66 over 1408m at the Sapphire Coast. Slowly away that day, she worked herself into the race and was too good for them in the run home. She has drawn wide today (gate 9 of 10) but if she cam jump with htem, she has the early gate speed to be sitting mid-field or better on settling. Jay Ford rode her to victory last preparation and returns for the today’s assignment. Fitter for that first-up win, she looks a tad overs today and is well worth an each-way ticket here.
