She is already a track and distance winner here as leading rider, James Orman takes the reins for the first time. Ideally drawn in gate two, she does no early work and maps to settle just behind the speed and enjoy a trail. In career-best form, she looks the one to beat in this contest.

The Michael Lakey-trained KELANOA gains a start here (after early scratchings) and second-up today looks in the hunt for victory in this contest. Last start, the Spieth filly was fresh off a 15-week spell when she did enough to take home third prize in a 1000m Maiden at the Sunshine Coast. Emily Lang was aboard that day and secures the ride again for this assignment. She gets the gun-run from gate one here and maps to settle in the first half-dozen. She will strip fitter for that first-up run and should be there at the finish.

Gold Coast galloper, LASER BEAM makes his Ipswich debut today and in his current form, looks a solid chance for victory at odds. Last start, the Deep Field gelding broke through for his maiden win when he clobbered his rivals over 1100m at Beaudesert. He box-seated from barrier rise and after taking over at the 200m mark, left the rest to sort out the minors as he crossed the line almost three lengths ahead of them. He gets the gun-run today and from gate one, maps to be box-seating again. Leading rider, James Orman is the new pilot for this assignment and with a trouble-free run today, the three-year-old looks in the mix for back-to-back victories here.
