Mildura Tips 4/10/2022

BEST BET 🏆

Race 1 No. 6 ALL CLUBS- ($3.70)

The opener at Mildura is a Maiden over the 1000m and ALL CLUBS can go close to chalking up her first career win. The four-year-old has had just the three starts and was runner-up at Murray Bridge two starts ago before running 3rd at Morphettville on September 24 over the 1000m. She was posted three wide that day with a nice trail and loomed to win at the 150m mark before just peaking on her run. The daughter of Unencumbered went one length slower than standard benchmark, which are the best figures that any horse in this race has produced and the more than four lengths better than the nest best last start figures of any runner. She draws to save ground this time from barrier 1 and should find this easier.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 6 No. 4 ZOUTONS- ($4)

ZOUTONS is not without a chance at his first run back from a spell. The five-year-old has attracted a heap of support in the early betting and was 3rd at Bendigo in a BenchMark 64 when resuming at his last preparation before battling off a tough run at that venue at his only other start. The Brendan Hearps-trained galloper comes back to BM58 and has a solid first up record, while he has drawn to be prominent from barrier 5.

BEST VALUE 💰(EACH-WAY)

Race 8 No. 7 BILLY MAV- ($14)

Looking for a bit of value here and BILLY MAV that should be an improver. The Paul Preusker-trained galloper stepped out off an 11-week break at Warracknabeal on August 27 and tackled the 1200m, running 8th behind Nicotera. The seven-year-old settled well back that day before producing the second fastest last 400m. He improved 11 lengths on benchmark figures when second up in the autumn to finish runner-up at Warracknabeal. The son of Jimmy Choux draws barrier 5 and can fight out the finish.
