Race 3:  No.4  TWO AYE  ($2.30 with Ladbrokes)

The Barbara Joseph Team saddle-up TWO AYE here who is three starts back from a spell and sporting a major gear change today, looks a serious contender for first prize here. Last start, the Deep Field mare showed plenty of improvement when she beat all but one home in a strong class 3 over the Randwick mile. Turning for home, she was sitting pretty, one out, one back and ran home strongly, nosed-out of the major prize right on the line. She steps up in distance today but drops sharply in class with Quayde Krogh back in the saddle. She does no early work from gate three and has the tongue tie fitted for the first time. Her only win to date came on a wet track so conditions look ideal for the four-year-old today. At her peak here, she looks the goods.

Race 4:  No.5  LOUIE’S LEGACY  ($4.20 with Neds)

Another from the Joseph Team is LOUIE’S LEGACY who sees the Moruya track for the first time today and with the blinkers back on, looks set for big improvement in this contest. Last start, the son of The Factor put in the big ones in the run home and did well to beat all but the winner home in a BM64 over 1400m at Kembla Grange. Ridden by Jake Barrett that day, he handled the Heavy 9 conditions well. Now five starts into this campaign, he should be at his peak here as Barrett sticks with him for this assignment. Well drawn in gate five, a trouble-free run today should see him fighting out the finish.

Race 5:  No.4  PUERTO RICO  ($4.20 with bet365)

The Matthew Kelley-trained PUERTO RICO has found the podium in three of his four starts this time in and looks well placed here to add another one to his resume. Last start, the Dream Ahead gelding was caught three-wide without cover but ran on strongly to grab third prize in a Class 3 Hcp over 1000m at Nowra. Michael Heagney is the new pilot today as the five-year-old meets similar opposition in this BM66 contest. His wet-track form is good with a win and six minor placings from 13 races contested in the conditions. Four starts back, he will be at his peak today and should give us a good sight for our cash today.
