BEST BET 🏆

Race 8:  No.4  SHOW ME YOUR LOVE  ($7.50 with Picklebet)

Back on home soil today, the Kris Lees-trained SHOW ME YOUR LOVE is third-up today and looks every chance of going back-to-back in this contest. Last start, the So You Think mare was second-up off a 17-week spell when she came from back in the field to grab victory on the line in a BM66 over the mile at Tamworth. Kody Nestor was aboard that day and has the reins again fir this assignment. She gets the gun-run here from gate one where she maps to settle near mid-field, doing little to no early work. Now a winner over the 1600m and fitter for two runs back, she looks a genuine winning chance here today.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 4:  No.3  DEEP OPINIONS  ($8 with Bet Right)

The Damien Lane-trained DEEP OPINIONS is third-up today and looks ready to win. Last start, the Deep Field filly improved enough to beat all but one home in a BM68 Hcp over 1200m at Kembla Grange. Second-up off a 17-week spell that day, she ran her last 600m, 6 lengths quicker than benchmark, the best last-start effort here. She also recorded the fastest final 600m, 400m and 200m sectionals for the race. Darryl McLellan was aboard last start and sticks with filly today. She sees the Newcastle track for the first time today but fitter for those two runs back, she looks in the mix in this contest.

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 6:  No.3  SUMMER IN SIAM  ($9.50 with Ladbrokes)

Annabel Neasham saddles-up SUMMER IN SIAM here who is fresh off a 17-week spell but looks set for a successful return today. Last start, the Spieth gelding had his fifth race start where he finished unplaced at Warwick Farm in a BM64 over the mile that day. He was then spelled and whilst away from the track, he has been gelded. The three-year-old returned to work earlier this month and has finished top-three in both trials he participated in. The blinkers come off for the first time here and after steering him to a Class 1 victory at Nowra (three starts back), Alysha Collett returns for today’s assignment. Already a winner when first-up, he looks up to this and is at generous odds with the bagmen today.
