BEST BET 🏆   

Race 6 No. 5 FRAGILE LOVE – ($3.80) 

FRAGILE LOVE can go close in Race 6. The Matthew Ellerton-trained galloper resumed on the Caulfield Heath over the 1200m on March 13 and settled back in the field of seven before running on to just miss out behind Miss Aria. She can take improvement off that run and when second up at her last preparation she stuck on well to finish 9th in a Listed race at Flemington over the 1100m behind Shesallshenanigans, beaten three lengths. She improved more than nine lengths on benchmark figures that day and was solid at Caulfield after that.

Race 7 No.2 CUTE AS – ($5.60) 

CUTE AS is a bit of an unknown stepping up to the 1400m but this is easier than recent runs. The four-year-old was 3rd in a couple of 1100m races at Flemington before heading to Caulfield and dropping out of it after they went very hard early on. This looks much easier and she has been a bit of an eye-catcher when settling back in a few of her recent runs.

Race 8 No. 5  HASSELTOFF- ($4.45) 

It has been a while in between drinks for HASSELTOFF but the Tom Dabernig-trained galloper can end a one-year drought when he steps out in the final race of the day at Sandown. The seven-year-old has been catching the eye of late, finishing runner-up at Ballarat two starts ago before heading to Caulfield on March 16 and running on to grab 3rd behind Titan Of Choice over the 1600m. He was held up at a vital stage in that race before going 6.9 lengths faster than standard benchmark, which is the best last start figure of any runner. He will get back after drawing widest of the 10 runners but will be strong late in the piece.
