BEST BET 🏆   

Race 4 No. 4 INTO YOU- ($2.35) 

A field of five line up in Race 4 and it is hard to go past INTO YOU. She had the measure of Pink Shandon the last time these two met, although the latter did do a few things wrong. Unlike Pink Shandon, Into You has had one subsequent run for an encouraging 7th against the boys in the Group 2 Alister Clark Stakes (2040m) at Moonee Valley. The Shay Keating-trained galloper was back that day on a hot tempo but kept coming out side to place 7th, beaten just three lengths by Antrim Coast. This is much easier and he is a previous Sandown winner on the Hillside circuit.

Race 5 No.4 JAYROD TOO- ($7.20) 

It was a return to form for JAYROD TOO on March 27 at the track and trip and willing to back the seven-year-old in the small field in this race. He tends to save some of his best for the Sandown 2100m and led before going down by a length to Divius Romulus in this grade last time. At his previous Sandown Lakeside 2100m run, the son of Pentire overcame the wide gate to lead all the way. He is likely to get a cheap lead up front, which is usually a bonus at the Lakeside circuit.

Race 2 No. 5 CAPZINZI – ($10) 

CAPZINZI shapes as an each-way player in Race 2 of the day at Sandown. The Ciaron Maher-trained galloper has placed just once in five career starts and had a bit of a setback when first up this preparation, placing 8th at Moonee Valley over the 1000m. The daughter of Capitalist then had five weeks in between runs when 4th at Geelong on March 16 behind Duel Venture. She can be an improver and at the third run of her initial preparation she spiked seven lengths on benchmark figures when a two-length 4th behind the recent Australian Derby (2400m) runner-up Ceolwulf. A further five winners have come out of the Warwick Farm race. She draws barrier 4 with Michael Dee to ride for this assignment.
