BEST BET 🏆   

Race 7 No. 13 MANSIERE- ($4.20) 

MANSIERE shapes as a solid prospect in Race 7. He comes into this with a couple of runs under the belt and was a narrow runner-up at Sale when resuming before tackling the $1 million Inglis Sprint at Flemington over the 1200m on March 2, placing 6th behind Estriella. He was a mile back early on in that race before working home well to finish just over three lengths away. This looks easier and it is worth noting that the Nick Ryan-trained galloper was a third up winner at his last preparation.

NEXT BEST 🥈   

Race 2 No.7 SABAN- ($4.65) 

Solid debut effort by SABAN at Sandown on March 6 and the Moody/Coleman galloper can go a few spots better in this race. The three-year-old settled back in the field at his first start, which was over the 1500m three weeks ago, and was held up from the 400m to the 100m before closing off well for 4th behind Biden Time. The son of Shamus Award went 2.5 lengths faster than standard benchmark in that race, which is a better figure than what any horse in this race has produced. With improvement to come at his second start and stepping up to the 1600m, he should be hard to hold out late in the piece.

Race 3 No. 4 BIDEN TIME- ($6.60) 

BIDEN TIME can go on with the job in Race 3. The Steve Richards-trained galloper was 3rd on debut at Werribee back on February 18 in a race that has produced a couple of winners. He tackled the 1500m at Sandown after that and was strong to the line at a bit of a price when edging out Alma Rise. The son of American Pharaoh ran quick time that day and saves ground from barrier 1 for this with Craig Williams to ride.
