Race 3 No. 11 ORANGE EARS- ($4.40)
Race 6 is a Benchmark 64 and ORANGE EARS looks up to the step in grade after claiming her Maiden in impressive fashion at Benalla on January 29. That was just her second career start and her first this preparation. The Seymour galloper settled midfield and was much too strong over the last 400m to score with a bit in hand. She rises to the 1200m and comes in with the best last start benchmark figures of any runner.

Race 7 No. 1 ADLERIAN – ($9.50)
Some unknowns here with half the field making their race debut but willing to roll the dice on ADLERIAN. The Ben & JD Hayes-trained galloper stepped out on debut on January 29 and was favoured in the betting that day but just lacked the dash at the business end to run 4th. Suspect she can improve off that and the race rated well. The daughter of Ocean Park went 3.4 lengths slower than standard benchmark, which is more than 10 lengths better than what any of the raced runners have produced and five lengths better than the class average. Blinkers go on and she draws barrier 4.
