BEST BET 🏆 (WIN)  

Race 7 No. 2 ROCKET BOY- ($4.80)

Weak race and ROCKET BOY can be an improver with a softer time of it up front. The Team Hayes-trained galloper won at the tract and trip three starts ago and was outgunned late when 4th in a solid form race two starts ago. Last time out, the son of Pierro engaged in a bit of a speed battle up front and faded into 6th placing. Those three runs were all over the 1600m here. The four-year-old will cross over from barrier 10 and there doesn’t seem to be as much pressure in this. He is worth a play at the quote. 

NEXT BEST 🥈 (WIN) 

Race 5 No 7 TIZJAMMY- ($5)

TIZJAMMY can be an improver back on this surface. The four-year-old bombed out at Flemington on July 15 and was found to be lame in the aftermath. He was excellent in runs prior to that at the Pakenham Synthetic, winning in one and placing in two. His win came at the track and trip. Prior to the Flemington run, the John Sadler-trained galloper stepped out in a BenchMark 70 here over the 1600m and came from well back to narrowly miss out behind Barretta in what has proven to be a solid form race. He is likely to settle back here but tempo should be genuine and look for him to be coming hard home late in the piece.
