Race 1 No. 12 SMOKIN’ PRINCESS- ($1.96)

Nice debut by WOLFY at Caulfield on July 22 over the 1200m and the Nick Ryan-trained galloper can go one spot better here. At Caulfield, the son of Tivaci settled back in the field of 10 and was held up between the 400m and the 200m before making up some good ground late behind Ouroboros. Some unknowns in this race with the presence of some first starters but Wolfy went a very healthy 5.2 lengths faster than standard last time and the debutants would need to be smart to topple that. Step up to the 1300m suits and Mark Zahra rides.

Race 5 No 6 DIVINE DIOSA- ($8.60)

Been a while between drinks for DIVINE DIOSA but the six-year-old can break a bit of a drought here. She resumed at Caulfield on July 22 over the 1400m in a BenchMark 70 and settled back in the field of 12 in a race where they went very slow early on. She was able to produce the second fastest last splits and made a bit of ground to finish two lengths off them in 8th position in what was a bit of a bunched finish. The Simon Zahra-trained galloper comes into this second up and and races well over the 1600m
