Race 4 No. 7 LIMB RUNNER ($9)

LIMB RUNNER can go a couple of spots better than a debut effort that saw him run 3rd at Terang on New Year’s Day. That came over the 1000m and he settled handy before doing a few things wrong in the straight when unable to chase down the leading pair that were able to get away with a soft time of it up in front. He produced the fastest splits from the 600m to the 200m but was unable to bridge the gap. Improvement to come at his second start will see him be hard to beat from barrier 4.

Race 8 No. 7 REPARTER ($10.20)

REPARTER can make her presence felt in the final race of the day. The six-year-old resumed at Yarra Glen on January 4 and settled back before coming out wide and running on for 5th behind Cryptic Clue, beaten one length. She will strip fitter for this and was a six length improver on benchmark figures when second up at her last preparation, placing at Seymour.
