Race 3: MC Polytrack Mdn — 15:15, 1094m
This is the race I’m least interested in getting married to. Big field, mixed profiles, and more than a few who can improve sharply simply by turning up.
If you forced me to take a stand, I’d rather be with Lady Mayflower on map and professionalism. She draws gate 1, she’s had plenty of racing, and while the win hasn’t come, the 22248- says she’s at least been competitive often enough that you can build a bet around “she turns up.” The booking of S Parnham reads like the stable wants the race run cleanly from the inside — no nonsense, no excuses.
The fresh danger is Sassyassa purely on the Pike factor. She’s off a break (57/) and you’re taking fitness on trust, but Pike’s Belmont strike rate is strong and he’s an expert at getting one to travel in the right lane in these lower-pressure races.

I’m siding with Tycoon Dreamer instead. He’s a 3YO on the up (56-1), draws gate 4 to get the right stalking run, and he won on his only start at Belmont. Chris Parnham is a strong tactical rider here, and from that draw he can make Zippy Zany work for every metre if Pike ends up caught wide or forced to go back.
The danger is Miss Valmalenco. She’s in form (841-52), she’s already placed at Belmont (second on her only start here), and Holly Nottle’s Belmont place rate is the kind of number you can build multis around — she hits the frame far more often than she misses at this track.
