BEST BET 🏆

Race 1 No. 3 BISECTOR – ($3.10)

Racingbase WA punters have backed BISECTOR twice now for two wins and we’ll have another go again on Wednesday. Showed her customary speed to lead when taking out her maiden field over 1100 metres here first-up. Holly Watson rated her beautifully out in front as Simon Miller found a midweek 1000 metre 3yo race for her at Belmont. Watson allowed Bisector to cruise out in front of the others and cuddled her well into the straight. Bisector kicked strongly when asked to go on and score a convincing win. Found wanting in Saturday grade over 1100 metres last start despite running a smart time. Better suited here and back in trip where she can race the others out of their comfort zone early.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 5 No. 2 KELVINATER – ($9.50)

It’s a hard ask for a horse to go to 1500 metres second-up and win, which is what we’re backing KELVINATER to do. We have a lot of time for this horse and clearly so has the Perth handicapper. The chief handicapper slapped Kelvinater with 64 benchmark points following his debut win as a 2yo last prep. That was over 1400 metres on a soft 6 where Taj Dyson gave him the run of the race before Kelvinater showed a change of speed to score. The Kersley team then sent him around over 1300 metres on a heavy track in Saturday grade. Jade McNaught came back to the tail off the wide gate before circling the field on straightening. Loved the burst of speed Kelvinater displayed when finishing into the placings. Has had the benefit of a winning trial plus a forgive run in town to have him tuned for this.

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 8 No. 6 GUARD THE SAFE – ($11)

Well, we don’t have Pike in the last, but we do have the Pontiff on GUARD THE SAFE and he’ll do just nicely! Guard The Safe comes into this fourth-up and ready to peak following second behind city-bound Hola Marea. Harvey may have found himself a little closer to the speed in that race than he would’ve liked. That was his first ride on the horse who responded to his urgings into the straight despite the inside horse laying-out. Could be looking for the 1400 metres now and should land in a good spot behind the pressure.
