Bendigo Tips 2/11/2022

BEST BET 🏆

Race 4 No. 3 EVENING GLORY- ($2.80)

This looks to be a suitable assignment for EVENING GLORY to kick off his spring and summer campaign. The Anthony & Sam Freedman-trained galloper produced a number of solid runs in town at his last preparation without winning. When fresh, the son of Smart Missile narrowly missed over the 1100m at Caulfield behind Scorched Earth, going 8.5 lengths faster than standard benchmark. He produced similar figures throughout. Can save ground from barrier 1 and will be ridden by Damien Thornton, who strikes at 23% for the stable.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 6 No. 3 SPEED LOVER ($2.80)

SPEED LOVER should be hard to beat in Race 6. The mare from the Tony & Calvin McEvoy stable resumed with a 4th at Ballarat over the 1000m on October 20 and closed off well from a midfield slot, despite being held up from the 400m to the 200m. She went 0.2 lengths faster than standard benchmark, which are the best last start figures of any runner. Second up at her last preparation she was an eight-length improver on benchmark figures when runner-up at Morphettville. She is another that draws low and with clear air this time around she should be hard to beat.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 1 No. 7 TYITA- ($3.30)

TYITA can go close in the opener at Bendigo after a debut effort that saw him finish runner-up behind Gargantuan at Geelong over the 1347m on September 29. The Chris Waller-trained galloper attracted support in the betting that day and settled midfield before closing off well to go bang on standard time. Any improvement on that should see the son of Maurice be hard to beat.
