BEST BET 🏆

Race 6:  No.7  CIRCULARITY  ($2.90 with Unibet)

Rosehill galloper CIRCULARITY is back for his second crack at the Eagle Farm track and ticks enough boxes to suggest he is a solid chance at victory in this contest. Last start, the Time For War gelding saw this track for the first time and made an impression when he beat all but one home in a Class 6 Hcp over 1000m. He was first-up off a 20-week spell that day and had Samantha Collett in the saddle. On fresh legs, he recorded a new personal best by covering the trip, 5.4 lengths quicker than benchmark, also the best effort in this field. Already a winner when second-up, Collett remains aboard for this assignment and ideally drawn in gate three, he will take beating today.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 8:  No.3  JE SUIS BELLE  ($4.40 with bet365)

Boasting one of the best fresh records around, JE SUIS BELLE resumes from a lengthy eight-month absence today and with two trials already behind her, she looks ready to give this a real shake. Last start, the Bel Esprit mare ended her last preparation with an impressive win in the Listed Ascot Quality Hcp, here over the 1000m sprint. Winning by more than a length, she ran the trip out, 8.6 lengths quicker than benchmark, the best in this line-up and setting a new personal best as well. Her last 600m was also very impressive, running that out, 10.8 lengths quicker than standard benchmark, the best here by more than 4 lengths. Her time of 56:66 was just half a second outside the track record as she posted the fastest final 800m to 200m sectionals for the race. Her six first-up appearances to date resulted in two wins and four runner-up finishes. Taylor Marshall boasts three wins with the six-year-old already and has the reins again today. On a track where she has already proven herself, with three wins over today’s trip, it will take one smart galloper here to deprive her of  yet another track victory.

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 4:  No.4  HEAD ON UP  ($5 with Palmerbet)

The locally-trained HEAD ON UP boasts a strong fresh record and first-up today looks the testing material in this contest. Last start, the Headwater mare ended her last campaign finishing unplaced in a BM72 Hcp over 1100m at the Gold Coast. Since then, she has trialled twice, finishing second in both, and resumes today with a first record that reads two wins and two runner-up finishes from four fresh appearances. The stable are fitting the blinkers on the mare for the first time where she has drawn gate three and maps to settle just off the pace. With two trials behind her, she will bring some level of fitness into the race and with a trouble-free run, she will be doing her best work late and looks in the mix for another first-up victory today.
