Race 6:  No.3  FLAG HALL

The Lee Freedman-trained FLAG HALL has burst onto the scene blowing a very loud trumpet and second-up here, looks the best of the day. Last start, the well-bred Starspangledbanner gelding was fresh off an 18-week spell when he made it seven-straight podium finishes as he destroyed a Class 2 field over 1100m at Ipswich. Jai Williams was aboard that day as the three-year-old led from barrier to box, putting almost four lengths on them that day. Already a winner when second-up and a winner at the track, he draws ideally in gate four and will take plenty of beating in this contest.

Race 4:  No.7  PRINCESS TENKO

The Clinton Taylor-trained PRINCESS TENKO is third-up here and already boasting a strong track record, looks well placed here to give this contest a real shake. Last start, the Real Impact mare was unwanted in the market (after finishing last on this track the start prior), but she improved enough to beat all but one home in a BM78 over the 1200m trip. Fitter for those two runs back, she has leading apprentice, Cejay Graham steering the ship for the first time and from gate five, maps to settle just behind the speed. A trouble-free run here should see her fighting out the finish.

Race 5:  No.6  GOLDEELUCK 

Team Sears saddle-up GOLDEELUCK here who is third-up and will be out to improve on his first visit to Eagle Farm. Last start, the Winning Rupert gelding was second-up and made it look easy when he clobbered a BM70 field over 1300m at Toowoomba. Settling two pairs back, he came wide on the turn, took over passing the 200m mark, and left the rest behind to fight out the minors as he crossed the line, 2.5 lengths ahead of them. Angela Jones has the reins for the first time and from gate five, looks to settle the four-year-old better than mid-field with cover. Fitter for two runs back and down 5kgs from last start, he looks a real chance in this contest.
