Race 7 No. 6 BOOGIE DANCER- ($2.70)
BOOGIE DANCER shapes as a major player in the Echuca Cup. The Peter Moody-trained filly looked in need of the first up run at Flemington but should find this easier after running 6th behind Annavisto at Group 3 level. She was run off her feet early on before sticking on ok for 6th. Form out of that looks ok outside of the winner. The daughter of Sooboog comes back to a country level and should be open to improvement second up.
Race 6 No. 4 ZORRO’S DREAM – ($9)
One of the big races at Echuca is the VOBIS Gold Eldorado and ZORRO’S DREAM creates interest at the each-way quote. The six-year-old has had three runs this time in and was solid in Melbourne at his first run back before copping a tough run at Morphettville over the 1100m on February 25 when posted wide without cover the trip. The backmarker gets out to the 1200m and pace looks better than what it has been for him in recent runs, while the son of Toronado should be full of fitness after three runs.
