The Michael Freedman-trained DIAMOND DRUMMER makes his Goulburn debut today and three starts into this preparation looks right in the mix for this contest. Last start, the I Am Invincible gelding made it back-to-back podium finishes when he took home third prize in a 1600m Maiden at Newcastle. Trying to lead all the way, he was run down in the final stages, beaten a length on the line. He is drawn in gate three and maps to settle on speed again. Keagan Latham has his first ride on the four-year-old today and fitter for those three runs back, he can break through today.

Race 7: No.11 LIGHT PRESS ($6.50 with Ladbrokes)
The Gary Kirkup-trained Light Press has her second start for the stable today and at the weights, looks a genuine winning chance in this contest. Last start, the Press Statement filly gave the stable instant results when she clobbered her rivals in a Maiden Hcp over 1080m on the synthetic track at Canberra. From a wide gate (9 of 11), she sat mid-field and three-wide but finished all over the top of them, going on to win by more than two lengths on the line with Brendan Ward in the saddle. Drawn better today in gate six, Ward sticks with her and with a trouble-free run here, she can take home the chocolates at odds.

Race 4: No.1 LORD REMY ($9.50 with Palmerbet)
Moruya galloper LORD REMY has hit the ground running this time in and looks well placed here to make it five-straight podium finishes today. Last start, the Fighting Sun gelding finished a close-up second in a Class 1 Hcp over 1000m at the Sapphire Coast. He jumped from the outside gate and took a sit behind the pace and just found one better on the day. This looks no harder and from gate five today, he maps to settle in a similar spot with cover. Rock-hard fit after those four starts back, he can give this a real shake at odds today.
