Race 1:  No.4  INTENTIONAL LASS  

The Matt Dunn-trained INTENTIONAL LASS has improved with each run this time in and looks all set to make it a hat-trick of podium finishes today. Last start, the Pierro mare headed north to Ipswich after posting a good win on this track. On a Heavy 9, she worked to the lead but just found one better on the day, still finishing almost three lengths ahead of the rest in a BM68 over 2180m. Back on a track where she is proven, Ben Looker takes the reins today and racing in great form now, she looks a serious player in this contest.

Race 5:  No.8  TURPIN’S TORMENT

Armidale galloper, TURPIN’S TORMENT has run himself into form this preparation and now looks ready to shake the maiden monkey and break through today. Last start, the Fighting Sun gelding made it consecutive runner-up finishes when he beat all but one home, here over 1710m at his first look at the track. He beat The Riddler (third) home that day and meets him here on similar terms again. Jon Grisedale sticks with him today and he does no early work from gate four and gets his chance to salute here.

Race 6 No. 5 BRAVE DREAM – ($3.80 with Palmerbet as of Wednesday morning)

Brad Munro saddles-up WANJINA ROSE here who is third-up today and yet to miss a podium finish this time in, looks well placed here to give this a real shake at odds. Last start, the Wandjina mare gave us a bold sight (as our Best Value selection) when she finished third in a Class 3 over 1007m at Taree. Sent out a $20 chance that day, she raced wide (without cover) for most of the race and still stuck on to grab that minor prize. Already a winner when third-up, she has also finished second at both attempts over the track and distance previously and at her peak today, she looks well placed here and is capable of getting the job done.
