BEST BET 🏆

Race 8:  No.8  RIGHTEOUS  ARION

The Tony Cruz-trained RIGHTEOUS ARION is racing without much luck of late but looks well placed tonight to bounce back a winner in this contest. Last start, the Rich Enuff gelding found the podium for the eighth time in his 15-start career when he finished third in a Class 3 Hcp, here over 1200m with Angus Chung aboard. He was too far back on the turn to be considered a winning chance that night but stormed home to finish just 2.5 lengths from the winner. He draws a nice gate here in barrier three and a clean start should see him parked on the fence in the first half-dozen. Camped closer to the speed tonight, he should give this a real shake.

NEXT BEST 🥈

Race 7:  No.3  ERNEST  FEELING

Jamie Richards saddles-up ERNEST FEELING here who is yet to miss a top-two finish this preparation and ticks all the boxes that suggest he can keep that record intact tonight. Last start, the Epaulette gelding came off a Class 4 win here when he faced similar company three weeks later and beat all but one home that night, beaten just over a length on the line. Anthony Hamelin has enjoyed a lot of success as the pilot with his previous 11 rides resulting in all five career wins and seven minor placings as well. He sticks with the six-year-old again tonight and maps to avoid any trouble from gate six. He should at his peak here after four starts back and looks the testing material in this contest.

BEST VALUE 💰

Race 5:  No.6  HAPPY  TRIO

The Doug Whyte-trained HAPPY TRIO is in great touch of late and looks well placed here for back-to-back victories. Last start, the Dawn Approach gelding added another win to his resume when he easily accounted for a Class 4 Hcp, here over 1200m. Karis Teetan celebrated his second win on the five-year-old in that event and steers the ship again tonight. He maps to settle just behind the speed from gate seven and should enjoy the slipstream tow he will get here. His 14 starts over the 1200m at Happy Valley have resulted in three wins and six minor placings so its fair to say he is a known track specialist. A trouble-free run here should seen him there at the finish.
