Kilmore Tips 20/11/2022
BEST BET 🏆
Race 5 No. 3 EURO DANDY- ($5.50)
This looks to be a solid assignment for EURO DANDY to kick off his campaign. The four-year-old was solid at his last preparation and resumed with a runner-up performance at Pakenham over the 1400m before claiming a BenchMark 64 at Terang later on. He was then not beaten too far in a couple of runs in town. He might have a slight edge on this lot and will enjoy a cheeky run from barrier 2.
NEXT BEST 🥈
Race 4 No. 1 RETROSPECTION- ($6)
RETROSPECTION can be an improver out to the 2000m in Race 4 of the day. The five-year-old was last of the 10 runners when resuming over the 1600m at Moonee Valley on November 11 and was never really in it when tardily away on what was a slow tempo. At his second run of his last preparation he improved sharply on benchmark figures before winning when third up and getting out to the 1850m at Kyneton. The son of Tavistock is likely to get his preferred Soft going at Kilmore on Sunday, while he draws to enjoy a nice time of it from barrier 4.
Best Value 💰(EACH-WAY)
Race 7 No. 9 ASCENSION- ($8.50)
This is an excellent edition of the Kilmore Cup and going with ASCENSION in the $200,000 feature. The Maher/Eustace galloper was a winner on a Heavy 10 at Caulfield two starts ago before stepping out in the all-greys race at Flemington on Melbourne Cup day and running 6th behind Love Tap. He settled handy that day and was held up for a period at the top of the straight before finishing more than two lengths off the winner. The son of Dark Angel is another that should enjoy some sting out of the ground and has drawn to be prominent from barrier 3.
