Our form expert provides Narromine tips for today’s horse racing at Narromine Racecourse and gives his best bets.
BEST BET 🏆
Race 4: No.6 DIN ($2.65 with BoomBet)
Dubbo galloper DIN sees the Narromine track for the first time today and fitter for two runs back, looks a real chance here. Last start, the Xtravagant mare came within a whisker of her first win when finishing second in a Maiden Hcp over 1200m at Gosford. She settled mid-field and made up good ground in the run home to claim the runner-up prize. The four-year-old ran her last 600m, 3 lengths quicker than benchmark, the best here by more than 3 lengths, while setting the fastest final 400m sectional as well. Nicely drawn in gate six, a trouble-free run here could see her break through for that first career-win.
NEXT BEST 🥈
Race 5: No.5 MISHANI VANDAL ($9 with BoomBet)
Another Dubbo visitor today is MISHANI VANDAL who heads to the gates, second-up and well placed to give this a shake at good odds. Last start, the Jet Spur gelding returned to the track after 10 months off the scene and gave a bold sight when finishing fifth (of 12) in a Class 1 Hcp over 1100m at Mudgee. Settling worse than mid-field, he had no luck in the run home, running into dead ends everywhere. Once clear, he took ground off them, doing his best work over the final 100m. Fitter for that run and placed previously when second-up, the five-year-old is drawn well in gate five today and with a trouble-free run here, could very well finish on the podium in the is contest.
BEST VALUE 💰
Race 7: No.7 CHIEF WHITE SOCK ($12 with bet365)
We finish the day with one for the value-seekers as the Mudgee-based galloper CHIEF WHITE SOCK makes his Narromine debut in search of a winning hat-trick today. Last start, the Headwater gelding made it back-to-back victories when he took out a Class 1 Hcp over 1100m on his home track. He led from barrier to box with Jake Pracey-Holmes making it two from two with the three-year-old that day. He remains in the saddle for today’s assignment where the galloper jumps from gate four and maps to settle on-speed again. He is up in grade today but in career-best form, he looks a solid each-way chance in this contest.
