BEST BET 🏆
Race 6: No.13 BROK CAFE ($2.90 with bet365)
Paul Messara & Leah Gavranich saddle-up BROK CAFÉ here who is second-up and looks all set to continue with the good work today. Last start, the Mikki Isle filly resumed after 21 weeks in the paddock and did well to beat all but one home in a Class 1 Hcp over 1400m on her home track at Scone. Aaron Bullock is the new pilot today and he has some work to do, jumping from gate 12 here but the 1400m chute should give him plenty of time to cross and settle early. If she can overcome the wide draw, she looks right in this contest.
NEXT BEST 🥈
Race 3: No.3 CAPITAMY ($5.50 with Picklebet)
Newcastle galloper, CAPITAMY is four starts into this campaign and with three podium finishes in that mix, he is now ready to win. Last start, the Capitalist gelding came from mid-field to grab third prize in a 1200m Maiden on this track. Grant Buckley was aboard that day and sticks with him here. He finally draws a gate and today and gets the gun-run from gate one. He maps to settle right behind the speed and with a change of luck here, he can finally break through today.
BEST VALUE 💰
Race 7: No.10 TABORCA ($16 with Neds)
The Cameron Crockett-trained TABORCA is second-up today and looks well placed here to show some improvement on his first-up effort. Last start, the Snitzel gelding returned to the track after almost 18 months off the scene, finishing mid-field in a Class 1 contest over 1400m at Scone. Jake Pracey-Holmes has the reins today where the five-year-old draws well in gate five and maps to be better than mid-field on settling. Already a winner when second-up, he also won his maiden here last preparation and given a trouble-free run today, he can give this a real shake at very generous each-way odds.
