MAGNAPUR can break the Maiden in Race 3. The four-year-old has played in three of six career runs and missed out behind the likes of Bel Air and Gringotts prior to spelling. He resumed on September 10 at Sale and settled handy before filling the exacta behind Outta Compton over the 1100m. The son of Magnus will derive improvement from that run and draws perfect in barrier 3 with Patrick Moloney to ride.

Race 8 No 2 FOREIGN RAIDER- ($5.50)

This looks to be a suitable assignment for RIVKIN. The four-year-old has been racing well in Melbourne in recent times, placing down the Flemington straight over the 1200m behind The Prodigal Son before heading to Caulfield and again placing, that time behind First Mate over the 1400m. The son of Pariah drops to the 1000m and it is worth noting that his best benchmark figure from a career point of view came over the 1100m when going six lengths faster than standard at Flemington. He was a winner over that distance at Warrnambool, while he has a placing at his only other go on the track. Tayla Childs rides and claims the 3kg.
