Geraldton Racing Tips 11 Oct 2026 — can Oracle Son do it again?

Geraldton racing tips, 11 October 2026

Oracle Son is the whole meeting for me. Not because he is some untouchable superstar, but because Geraldton is a place where a simple edge can beat a messy market, and this horse owns the cleanest edge on the card: he has won on his only start here, and he lands in a small BM70+ over 1312m where the map says he gets every chance to repeat it.

We are working with a compact two-race program on Good ground, both over 1312m on turf. That keeps the day honest: barriers and who controls the first 400m matter, and you do not need to overthink it. I have gone hard at the races that actually offer clarity, and I am happy to pass if the price gets silly. That is the point of good Geraldton racing tips: fewer bets, better bets.

Geraldton, the setup

Good track, 1312m races, and a card where course evidence is patchy for most runners. One or two starts here is common today, so treat those as clues rather than gospel. Where we do have meaningful Geraldton volume, it is in the jockey and trainer pools, and that helps anchor the reads.

Limited multi-run course form across these two fields. The only runner today with 5 or more visits to Geraldton is Il Bello Beals (9 runs here), while Race 1 does have a couple with genuine track history: Gold Keeper (10 runs) and Prince Ragnar (7 runs).

Going: Good. Surface: Turf.

Race-by-race Geraldton predictions

Race 1: Tien Truong (Bm70+) — 14:20, 1312m

I want Oracle Son to go on with it. The profile is simple and strong enough to bet: he comes off a win last start (form reads 9-56061), he draws gate 3 to land in the first half without burning fuel, and he gets a jockey at this track who actually converts. J Lyon has only had two rides at Geraldton, so I am not dressing that up as a long-term edge, but he has already won here and that is enough to treat the booking as competent rather than speculative.

And yes, the course stat is only one run, but it is the right sort of one run: Oracle Son won on his only Geraldton start. That matters more than most of these older horses doing the usual ping-pong between midfield and back half in similar grade. Add in that he carries 122.3 and does not have to give away a stack of weight, and I can map him stalking the leaders and taking over when the pressure goes on.

The main danger for mine is Gold Keeper. He is not the sexy pick, but he is a proper Geraldton warhorse with 10 goes here and he has hit the frame seven times. That is five-plus-run specialist territory for place reliability, and from barrier 6 he can camp handy enough. The knock is the recent finish in his 90-day window (one run for a sixth) and that lines up with the current form string that has him finding one or two better late.

Onemoretwomany is the third player. He has placed at his most recent run inside the 90-day window (one start, third) and gate 2 keeps him in the hunt, but he has to prove he can sprint past a fit winner if the race turns into a 400m dash.

Staking: Win bet Oracle Son. If you want insurance, save a small exacta with Gold Keeper running second.

Race 2: Kelly-Ann Henderson Mdn — 14:50, 1312m

Here is the puzzle: do you want the maiden who keeps finding the line without winning, or do you want to gamble on something with upside and no exposed ceiling? I lean to the first option and I am sticking with Il Bello Beals because at least he brings repeatable behaviour to a race full of guesses. He has been thereabouts without sealing it (form 423633), he draws gate 2 to land in the first four, and he picks up Laqdar Ramoly, who rides Geraldton well enough over proper volume. Ramoly has 44 rides here and places them at a solid clip, so when he is on something with any kind of map advantage, I pay attention.

The course history says the same thing: Il Bello Beals has had 9 runs at Geraldton and has placed five times. He is not a winner here, so do not pretend he is a track bull, but he handles the circuit and that alone is a big plus in a maiden where some of these will get lost when they need to quicken.

The danger I respect is Alot Of Desire purely because the gate gives it a chance to fall into the right spot. Draw 1 in a maiden over 1312m can turn an average horse into a serious nuisance if the rider can control the first half of the race. The issue is we have no formline yet, so it is a market-watch runner rather than a confident bet from my end.

If you want something at longer odds to run into a placing, Beston Street is the grinding type who can improve simply by getting out of his own way. He draws 10 which forces decisions, but he placed on his only start at Geraldton and J Lyon aboard is capable of finding a lane if the leaders overdo it.

Staking: Each-way Il Bello Beals if the price is fair. If he is too short for your taste, this becomes a watch race and you keep your powder dry.

Where the money goes

This is one of those Geraldton meetings where the best betting is not about finding four clever legs, it is about leaning into the one horse who ticks the most boxes without making excuses for him.

NAP: Oracle Son (Race 1, 14:20). Won on his only start at Geraldton, comes in off a win, and the gate and weight let him take the shortest path to the lead group and strike when it matters.

Value: Gold Keeper (Race 1) as the saver exacta and quinella partner. He has 10 runs at the track with seven placings, so if the favourite gets held up or the tempo turns ugly, this is the one most likely to still be there at the 100m.

Banker for multis: Il Bello Beals (Race 2, 14:50) in the top 3 or top 2 markets. Nine looks at Geraldton for five placings is the kind of reliability you want in a maiden, even if he is not a natural winner.

Each-way play: Il Bello Beals, but only if the market gives you something back for the risk. He finds trouble and finds one better too often to take silly odds.

Course angle to remember: when you see a Geraldton card and G B Spowart turns up, treat it seriously. He wins at a healthy clip here and places well over 43 starters, and that is not a tiny sample.

Next time you see a short-field BM race at Geraldton with a proven track horse drawn to sit on the speed, do not overcomplicate it, just price the map properly and bet accordingly.
