Kembla Grange Preview & Best Bets – 17/08/2024

Don’t let the rain dampen your spirit this Saturday at Kembla Grange, the 2200-m track built to replicate the infamous Randwick Racecourse. Speaking of, the track condition sits at a Soft 5, promising punters a thrilling day of tough competition

Best Bet: King Of thunder

Race 1 – Congratulations Jess Hull Super Mdn Hcp – 1600m

We start Saturday off with a bang! King Of thunder we are expecting to impress in the first race of the day. We’re expecting a strong showing from this 3yo bay/brown Gelding from New Zealand. King Of Thunder is yet to break its maiden status, having not won a race yet from 1 attempt but we expect his to put that right in Race 1 of Saturday’s meeting. The 1600-m distance should suit him well, too. We’ll have our eye on King Of thunder to get him maiden win

Second Best:Ace’s In Bloom

Race 6 – Markey Saddlery Provincial – 1200m

A four-year-old-mare from across the pond, Ace’s In Bloom is originally fromNew Zealand but now based in Newcastle. She’s shown us strong promise to date, with a recent victory in a 4yo+ Maiden Handicap, where she defeated Classic Poetry to secure her first win. Full of confidence and in great form, she’s a strong contender to place in Race 3. She’ll need to adapt to the soft conditions, but that’s something Ace’s In Bloom is more than capable of
