Race 3 No. 13 SKYWRITER- ($2.60)

SKYWRITER is another that can break the maiden early on. The Chris Waller mare has placed in three of her four career starts and resumed at Geelong on July 30, missing out in narrow fashion behind De La Rocha. She settled midfield in a race where they crawled early before running on. The four-year-old has had exposure at Moe, finishing runner-up on debut before improving more than five lengths on benchmark figures when runner-up at Sandown at her second start. The daughter of Written Tycoon should enjoy a nice time of it from the inside barrier and if the gaps open up she looks to be the one.

Race 2 No 2 HIMEROS- ($3.30)

HIMEROS can go close in Race 2 at Moe. The four-year-old resumes and showed promise at his debut preparation with three solid performances that yielded a couple of placings. He was an eye-catcher when making his debut with a 4th at Geelong over the 1400m, while his two placings came at Pakenham and Geelong over the 1600m. This looks slightly easier than anything he has faces so far and the son of Savabeel has attracted early support in the betting.
