Others with claims: Dinah Beach has a 3rd in two starts, and Brooke King rides this track well enough to make barrier 9 workable if the speed holds up.

This one reads like a map race first, and Loyalty Reigns looks the horse most likely to get the run you want. Gate 1 at 1094 metres is a gift if you’ve got any early intent, and even if it’s not a burner, it should still hold a prominent spot without covering ground. It’s not coming off flashy form, but in these Murray Bridge maidens, the horse that can take luck out of it often beats the horse that looks “better on paper”.

The contrast race. Tassoro brings exposed, reliable maiden form and a setup that suits: it’s been competitive often enough, it tends to run a race, and it doesn’t need to be thrown into a perfect set of circumstances to be there late. Over the last 90 days it has five runs, two placings, and an average finish around the top four, which is a strong base for a maiden at 1531 metres where a lot of these won’t stay the trip properly when the pressure goes on.
The other side of the contrast is If You Don’t Mind from gate 1. It’s not a horse I’m desperate to take a short price about off the raw form, but it can control the pattern. If it leads or parks in the first pair with zero work, it can turn this into a dash from the 500 and make the closers earn it.
The danger I keep coming back to is Karma Queen. Kayla Crowther rides this track as well as anyone and the horse has two prior runs at Murray Bridge with one placing, so it’s at least shown it handles the circuit. Recent results aren’t sparkling (six runs in the last 90 days for two placings), but it’s competitive enough to win if the tempo suits.
