Race 1: Tabtouch Share My Bet Mdn — 13:40, 1312m
The two-year-old maiden reads like a “who improves” contest, and I’m siding with Hillside Avenue (gate 3, 55kg, B Parnham). She’s already shown more than most of these on exposed form: that 0-2 line says she’s capable of landing a blow, and the draw gives her options to either hold a spot or stalk the speed without spending fuel.
The reason I’m happy to be firm is that a few of the obvious dangers either have a query on what they’ve shown so far or need to take a decent step. Axopar (gate 4, Lucy Fiore) has at least been competitive across two starts (6 then 3) and looks the clear improver if the race turns into a proper run from the 600m.
Our Mane Man and Tigerland have had chances on the numbers (06 and 76-0). They can absolutely win a Pinjarra maiden if things fall their way, but you’re taking it on trust that the penny drops today.
Play: Win bet Hillside Avenue. If you’re playing exotics, keep Axopar as the main saver runner.
Race 2: Western Racepix Hcp — 14:15, 2187m
This is where the card has a proper hook: Ahh Choux has won on her only start at Pinjarra, and the race shape looks kind. She does carry 57.5kg from gate 8, but over 2187m I’d rather be the horse with a rider who can find a rhythm than the one panicking for the first corner. Zephen Johnston-Porter is a plus in that sense.
Her recent form is a bit of a zigzag (2-0619), and the 90 day snapshot says four runs for one win. That doesn’t scream “moral”, but it does say she’s still capable of putting a field away when things go right. And this field has its share of “out of form but hoping” types.
The obvious danger is Declared Innocent (J Whiting). He has also won on his only Pinjarra start, and if he lands in a cozy spot from gate 7 he can pinch it with a mid-race move. I just don’t love the current profile (510800): he’s either doing it easily or not coming at all, so you’re taking a bit on trust.
Don’t ignore Royal Trooper (gate 4) as the grinder who can keep improving into a staying trip if they go too hard early, but his recent form reads like a place horse more than a winner.
Play: Win bet Ahh Choux. Saver win Declared Innocent if you want protection.
Race 3: State Wide Turf Services Mdn — 14:50, 1750m
Here’s the puzzle: who actually wants to win a 1750m maiden? A lot of these have been hanging around the mark without sealing the deal. That usually pushes me toward the runner with the best “keeps giving you something” profile rather than the flashy one-off.
Rare Honor fits that bill. He’s got the kind of record that tells you he’s always in the fight (0-26238), and he has placed in two of three runs at Pinjarra. That’s not enough to declare him a track horse, but it does tell you he handles the place and keeps finding the line here. The 90 day form snapshot has him at four runs for two placings, which is basically the same story: honest without being explosive.
The danger I fear is Bhullar (gate 1, S Parnham). The inside draw at this trip can be gold if he holds a spot and keeps out of trouble, and his form reads like a horse who can bob up if the race gets messy (4-2620). He’s not bombproof, but you can see the run that wins.
Playa Del Sol (gate 12) is the other one I want in the conversation. He has two runs at Pinjarra for one placing, and his last five says 6-562: he’s at least trending the right way. The gate makes the ride harder though, and this is Pinjarra, not a track where you want to be doing it the tough way for fun.
Play: Each-way Rare Honor. If the track is playing leaderish early, trim the stake and keep it smaller. If they’re making ground, you can press a bit harder.
Race 4: Jkwatts Memorial Mdn — 15:25, 1312m
The market will probably gravitate to the horses with the neatest recent figures, but I’m coming at this one from the stable move. Pateman brings Trailer Truck here from gate 3 with Holly Nottle riding, and that booking matters at Pinjarra. Nottle rides this track as well as anyone on the card, and she consistently gives you a clean run when others find traffic.
Trailer Truck’s form (458-5) isn’t screaming off the page, but it reads like a horse who can sit close enough and keep rolling. From the soft draw he should land right in the moving line, and if the leaders overdo it even slightly, he’s the one who can sustain a run rather than throw in one flashy 200m burst and wait for luck.
The danger is Quokka Rocka (gate 2, J Whiting). He’s been placed both starts this prep (3-3), and he placed in his only Pinjarra run (finished third). That’s a proper “ready to win” profile. If he gets the first crack and Trailer Truck has to follow him into the race, you can easily see Quokka Rocka holding him off.
Keep an eye on Playa Del Sol backing up if he’s also in Race 3, but as it stands he’s only in that maiden. For this one, I’ll also mention Hidden Jewels (gate 1): the draw invites a cheap run, even if the overall form has been plain.

The plays
I’m keeping it practical today. The lack of live odds in the feed means you don’t get cute, you just back the profiles that make sense and don’t chase thin edges.
NAP: Hillside Avenue (Race 1, 13:40). The race doesn’t look deep and she’s already shown she can run to a number in this grade, from a gate that keeps her out of trouble.
Value: Rare Honor each-way (Race 3, 14:50). He’s not a winning machine, but he keeps turning up, and two placings from three Pinjarra visits says he’s comfortable here.
Banker for multis: Ahh Choux (Race 2, 14:15) as the “gets it done when things suit” type, and she’s already won on her only Pinjarra start. That’s enough to make her the safest leg on the card for me.
