Race 4 No. 12 MARION STREET- ($2.90)
MARION STREET can break through in Race 4. The Matt Laurie-trained galloper has finished runner-up in her two career starts and filled the exacta at Bendigo behind Albanian I Am on debut. That horse has since come out and won a Saturday race at Caulfield. At her most recent start, Marion Street lined up at Werribee over the 1633m and was solid to the line when missing out behind Zilzie Lad, going 1.5 lengths slower than standard benchmark, which is nearly eight lengths better than the next best last start figures of any runner. The daughter of Reliable Man gets further out in trip and draws to be prominent from barrier 2.

Race 6 No 1 MATHEW- ($2.95)
MATHEW should be hard to beat in Race 6. The Patrick Payne-trained galloper drops slightly in grade for this and was a narrow runner-up when stepping up to the 2100m at Sandown at his most recent start. That came behind Angel Of Light on July 12 and he was slowly away that day before coming out wide on the turn and running on to just miss. The Patrick Payne-trained galloper carts 61.5kg but looks to have on edge on these and won’t be too far away in the run from barrier 6.
