George Main Stakes Barrier Draw & Final Field 2021

The barrier draw for Saturday’s Group 1 George Main Stakes (1600m) was announced on Wednesday with a final field of nine runners accepting for the Royal Randwick feature.

Superstar mare Verry Elleegant is one of four Chris Waller-trained runners set to compete in the $1 million George Main Stakes.

She resumed in the Group 1 Winx Stakes (1400m) with the six-year-old mare finishing second behind Mo’unga.

Her best distance is beyond a mile, but she did capture the Group 1 Chipping Norton Stakes (1600m) over course and distance during the autumn.

Verry Elleegant has drawn barrier two with regular jockey James McDonald riding.

Think It Over draws barrier six with Nash Rawiller riding. Trained by Kerry Parker, the six-year-old gelding will be a strong contender in the race following a win in the Group 2 Chelmsford Stakes (1600m) defeating Riodini who has drawn barrier one in the event.

Defending winner Kolding has come up with barrier four as Tim Clark retains the ride; Kolding was ninth in the Winx Stakes second up from a spell.

See below for the full field and barrier draws for the feature race.
