Inglis Sires’ Nominations – When Are They Revealed?
Two-year-olds battle it out in the Inglis Sires,’ which is one of four Group 1 races held on Day 1 of The Championships at the Royal Randwick Racecourse.
Nominations for the 2025 Inglis Sires’ will be revealed at 11:00am on February 11, 2025. The final nominations will then be taken at 12:00pm on April 01, 2025.
The Inglis Sires’ or Sires Produce Stakes has been won by several top-line juveniles over the years, including Dance Hero, Sebring, Pierro and Anamoe.
Inglis Sires’ Barrier Draw – When Is The Final Field Announced?
The final field and barrier draw for the 2025 Inglis Sires’ will be announced on Tuesday, April 01, 2025.
Once the field has been finalised, a simple click of a button on the computer will randomly determine the starting barriers for each of the two-year-old runners in the race.

Is There A Draw Bias in the Inglis Sires’?
There does not appear to be a barrier draw bias in the Inglis Sires’ but there is definitely a “lucky barrier” in the past 40 years. Barrier eight has seen 10 runners salute since 1983.
2008 Golden Slipper winner Sebring was one of those horses to jump from barrier eight as he won the Inglis Sires’ at his next start after capturing the Golden Slipper.
Outside of barrier eight, there has been a good spread of winners across barriers 1 – 12.
