Is There A Barrier Draw Bias in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes?

There isn’t a barrier draw bias in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes with winners mainly coming from barriers one through to seven.

The main reason for no definitive bias is that the race often attracts a smaller field of high-quality gallopers and the honour roll showcases that with horses such as Rough Habit, Jeune, Doriemus, Intergaze (twice) and Might And Power winning in the 1990s.

With smaller fields, the winners are certain to come from inside to middle barriers – since 1990, only three winners have drawn 10 or wider.
