The 2022 Rosehill Guineas (2000m) barrier draw will be announced March 16, 2022.

This page will be updated when the field is declared. Below is the final field and barriers from 2021.

Three-year-old gelding Lion’s Roar takes aim at the Guineas double after capturing the Group 1 Randwick Guineas (1600m) on March 6. Trained by John O’Shea, Brenton Avdulla rode the gelding to a 1.3-length victory in the Randwick Guineas as they defeated Mo’unga and Harmony Rose.

Lion’s Roar has drawn barrier 12 while Mo’unga has come up with gate six for trainer Annabel Neasham.

With two runs under his belt, Mo’unga should be primed third up for the Rosehill Guineas with Tommy Berry in the saddle. At his first up effort, Mo’unga was third in the Group 3 CS Hayes Stakes (1400m) won by Tagaloa.

The Paul Preusker-trained three-year-old colt Lunar Fox was a shock winner of the Group 1 Australian Guineas (1600m) at $301. He then ran well in the $5 million All-Star Mile (1600m) when fourth behind Mugatoo.
