Race 6 No. 2 MADE THE EFFORT – ($5)

MADE THE EFFORT can go close in Race 6 of the day. The four-year-old has been edging closer to her first win and was runner-up when resuming, beaten two lengths by Rey Magnerio, making up good ground late in the piece. She then stepped up to the 1200m and hit the lead a fraction early before being run down, finishing 5th in a blanket finish, beaten less than a length. She stays at the track and trip and has attracted a bit of support in the early betting. 

NEXT BEST 🥈 (WIN) 

Race 1 No 3 DANCETHENIGHTAWAY- ($5.25)

A field of five feature in the opener and not much separates that group in the market. DANCETHENIGHTAWAY stepped up to the 2100m for the first time on August 4 and was solid late in the piece when 4th behind Vivideel. She was midfield on a hot tempo early on before producing the second fastest last 400m. The daughter of Highland Reel was jumping up from the 1600m and should improve off that effort. She draws to save ground from barrier 1 and might get the last shot at them.
